Today HTC came up with a bombarding news for all HTC the HTC Desire users. It was early declared by HTC that HTC Desire HD , Desire Z, and the original Desire will be updated with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. But a few hours ago via facebook page, HTC declared that HTC desire will not get Android 2.3 Gingerbread update, as stated before. By this statement, HTC had dissappointed the HTC Desire owners, who were waiting for the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update.
The reason put forward by HTC is that their Devs team is unable to introduce Android 2.3 Gingerbread update to the HTC Desire without compromising the HTC Sense experience. This arises mainly due to the low internal memory of the handset, that unables to introduce both Gingerbread and HTC Sense. At the same time, HTC apologises for cancelling the Gingerbread update as stated below:
” Our engineering teams have been working hard for the past few months to find a way to bring Gingerbread to the HTC Desire without compromising the HTC Sense experience you’ve come to expect from our phones. However, we’re sorry to announce that we’ve been forced to accept there isn’t enough memory to allow us both to bring Gingerbread and keep the HTC Sense experience on the HTC Desire. We’re sincerely sorry for the disappointment that this news may bring to some of you.”
