Google has released the Android SDK Tools r13 (Revision 13) for the developers. The Honeycomb SDK was released earlier along with the Revision 13 of SDK tools back in February this year and since then, we had two more updates to the SDK tools r11 and r12 respectively and now followed by a third one, the r13. This isn’t something that is interesting for the common users, but it is for the developers.
This update doesn’t bring any serious changes to the SDK tools, other than few bug fixes which includes the following as said by the official source :
- Fix compilation issue in Ant (
dexstep) when paths have spaces.
- Fix issue in emulator installation when paths have spaces.
- Fix issue when AVD paths have spaces.
- Fix rendering issue when using emulator scaling
If you are using Eclipse with ADT, you’ll need ADT 12.0.0 or later for SDK Tools r13. And without Eclipse, you’ll require Apache Ant 1.8 or later.
You could update SDK tools to r13 using SDK Manager.
