The launch date for Apple’s most awaited iPad 2 tablet will be delayed to June from previous release date of April. As, the maker of iPad2 Hon Hai said that they are facing this delay because of new design changes made by Apple just before the Chinese New Year at the beginning of February.
“Our checks suggest new issues are being encountered with the new production process and it is taking time to resolve them,” Yuanta’s head of downstream tech equities, Vincent Chen, wrote in the note on Tuesday.
As, due to delay the number of tablets to be shipped, could go down from the expected 30.6 million to 23 million. Apple is probably already under pressure, as plenty of tablets from other companies are in the pipeline which are going to be launched very soon.
Manufacturer sources have previously said that iPad 2 model will have two cameras, on the front and other on the back of the device and would be slimmer, lighter and have much greater resolution display than the first iPad.
