The Metro Style Start Menu of Windows 8 was quite a change to the interface of Windows compared to the previous builds. But many Windows 8 users aren’t quite satisfied with the way the tiles of their apps come up in the Start Menu and also the customization options. Here is small solution to that issue.

XDA Developers forum member Argony-OT, has come with an app, namely OblyTile, which allows users to create custom tiles in Windows 8 Start Menu for their desired apps, folders or files. You can customize your own tiles with OblyTile and add them to the Start Screen.

You can add a custom name, background color and an image for your new tile with OblyTile. You can also hide the tile name if you want.

OblyTile is not finished yet. The developer may bring in more features and changes to the app in the future releases of the app. Head over to the development thread to download OblyTile and start creating your own custom tiles.
