The CyanogenMod authorities have let out the RC1 (first release candidate) of CyanogenMod 7.1. CyanogenMod 7.1 RC1 brings support for a lot more devices and is focusing the Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. Having a pretty big change log, a lot of bug fixes and performance improvements have been included in CyanogenMod 7.1 RC1 build.

This release is a good build to put your device on, but before you update to CyanogenMod 7.1 RC1 it is advised to take a backup as a safety measure in case of something wrong.
