We have always loved and welcomed tools that make things easier for us. Well, here is another useful app to add to the android community : Recovery Tools by XDA member DsLNeXuS. Recovery Tools allows android users to install any custom recovery of their choice on their rooted device in just one click.

It takes just a matter of minutes, like 5 to 12 minutes to flash a custom recovery onto our device manually, plus the time to find a compatible custom recovery which suits our needs. Recovery Tools saves you those minutes and that’s what I mentioned at the start of article. It takes around 30 seconds to install the recovery onto your device.

Install Any Custom Recovery on your Android Device with One Click

The app has options to download and install the two most popular custom recoveries, ClockworkMod and TWRP. If you don’t have the recovery file, the app itself downloads and installs the recovery on your device with your permission. Or you could simply place the downloaded file in your sd card and click the flash button to start the installation process.

Now, if you want to flash any other custom recovery on your device, the app has a ‘Flash other’ option for that, allowing you to install it from the sd card or the internal memory.

Things you should have/check to install a custom recovery with Recovery Tools :

  • The app itself. [Google Play Link]
  • Recovery tools doesn’t support all the devices. So, it should be compatible with your device to proceed. Check the app description in Google Play to see if your device is supported.
  • Your device must be rooted.
  • Make sure you have downloaded the recovery file and moved it to the sd card (in case it isn’t ClockworkMod/TWRP).

Recovery Tools is totally free and the developer has also open sourced the app. Any one could get the app’s source code from GitHub and contribute to the development of the app.

If you come up with any issues or suggestions, you can move over to the official thread started by the developer himself in XDA, create an account if you don’t have one and post your query/suggestion.
