Some weeks back, Comex announced that he will be releasing an untethered jailbreak tool for iOS 4.2.1 by Christmas. But he wasn’t able to do it and Dev Team came up with their ” backup plan ” through redsn0w 0.9.7. But this method requires the 4.2 b3 hashes to do the untethered jailbreak. But as it is given officially only to developers, the public could get it only from other sources due to which it could get pirated.
L0ung3f1Y : @comex or freakin release a jailbreak that does not require 4.2b3
MuscleNerd : So if @comex were to develop 4.2.1 untether, we warn all to save their 4.2.1 IPSWs for 4.3 untether via Monte
MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev Team replied to a question through twitter that if comex releases an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1, then you should preserve the iOS 4.2.1 IPSW and its SHSH so as to get the iOS 4.3 untethered jailbreak working on your device. MuscleNerd’s tweet is given above.
