The most popular content management platform software, WordPress is going to receive its updated version 3.2, this week. According to a developer post, the up-coming version will be both lighter and faster from its previous release.
The company decided to move ahead and that probably means to say good bye, to some of the old technologies. This new version will require a minimum of PHP 5.2.4 and MySQL 5 to run properly. The security update will only affect older browsers as their prority will be lowered.
WordPress 3.2 will also bring distraction free writing mode, like those which are found in Ommwriter and Byword. The lead developer Mark Jaquith wants to ensure WordPress users that overall experience will be more lightweight and calming with this new release.
