Now, this is a breaking news for the jailbreak community. P0sixninja, a major member of the Chronic Dev Team, at the first jailbreaking convention MyGreatFest, has announced something for the people looking forward to iOS 5 untethered jailbreak and also the jailbreak of the not yet announced next generation iPhone, to be happy about.
The Chronic Dev Team, the brains behind the popular GreenPois0n tool, has found not 1, not 2 or 3, but 5 new userland exploits for the iPad 2! This is something that makes a mark in the jailbreaking history. Five exploits being announced at the same time is something really exciting.
P0sixninja said that most probably these could be used also for jailbreaking the upcoming iPhone. We can expect the arrival of the new iPhone in the next month most probably. Hopefully, these will make a jailbreak hole on it.
All the five exploits are based on iOS and iOS only. It doesn’t apply to the hardware and so there is a chance that they could be patched. But as there are five of them, we have more chance of not losing them through patches.
