Redsn0w 0.9.9 has been updated to beta 3 now. iPhone dev team has released Redsn0w 0.9.9b3 for Windows and Mac OS X and you can now download it from the links below. The last day, iOS 5 GM was released in front of its final release on October 12 and we covered a guide on how to jailbreak iOS 5 GM Using Redsn0w 0.9.9. The steps are almost the same for this version too.
The change that has come in Redsn0w 0.9.9b3 is the addition of an extra functionality, the auto-detection of iOS 5 GM firmware. Except for the iPhone 3GS old bootrom, it gives a tethered iOS 5 GM jailbreak. Note that it doesn’t work on iPad 2.
