Lenovo reveled Lenovo LePad at the CES event in January, last year we heard that it would be released at the beginning of 2011, but what does that actually mean? It possibly mean that, Lenovo will launch this tablet globally during the first half of 2011.
Lenovo LePad runs over Android 2.2 aka Froyo based OS, powered by 1.2 GHz of Snapdragon processor. According, to Lenovo’s Jay Chen the tablet would be launching outside China, however he didn’t say about countries or market, the LePad will be launched.
The device is expected to cost in between $399 and $ 449, which is far more cheaper than Motorola‘s Xoom, which comes with a price tag of $600.
Although, LePad is cheaper than Xoom, which packs Google’s Honeycomb OS and Nvidia’s Tegra 2 processor, so most probably, Xoom is going to lead the competition of Tablet. Many new tablets were announced during MWC and CES event this year, So, probably the Lenovo LePad will be out of race as soon other tablet manufacturer starts rolling out their Android Honeycomb powered devices.
